The first will always remain a classic but I still love the sequel, even if the whole movie is necessary and repetitive. Probably wouldn’t say this if I didn’t grow up with it. If you take away the questionable violence (even if it is Home Alone) and the cheese, it really isn’t that bad. Sure it may not be as touching but it’s not at all heartless in the spirit of Christmas.
I get why it’s not as well-received but I wouldn’t say it’s the worse Home Alone. If you want that, watch the sequels after.
This movie also made me realize that Buzz deserves his own spin off.
